Telescopic Wing Principles
- Left and Right wing halves consist of six segments each.
- Each of the wing segments consists of a skin, a rib, and two spar segments.
- Spar segments alternate between fixed and rotatable configurations.
- Spar segments interface via recirculating ball bearings.
- Spars are primary load carrying members.
- Turning rotatable segments enables automated wing deployment and retraction into the wing middle box.
